  • WELCOME!

I am Kristi Shoemaker and many people end up calling me Shoe. I am a portrait photographer located in Omaha, NE. I am a wife to my husband, Joel, and a mother of two amazing little boys, August and Henry. My goal with every session is to show your real emotion and expressions when taking photos of you and your family or friends. Talk to you soon...

Sweet Miss Aubrie Mae

Today was Mother’s Day and we all trucked down to Lincoln to spend time with family and I got to do something I absolutely love to do, take pics of my sweet niece, Aubrie!  She loves to diva pose, but I really wanted to capture her serious side, her playful side and just her raw natural innocence.  Here is sweet Miss Aubrie Mae!

Mint Beauty

Today the boys and I ventured to Lincoln to help my mom and sister make mints for KiKi’s graduation party and we also went prom dress shopping.  The boys had a fantastic time playing with “Gampa” as August says and I ate a few more mints than my Mom would have appreciated.  Here are a couple of fun shots I took of my beautiful sis and our pretty mints.

Sweet Baby Kaiden

I cherish every opportunity to photograph newborns as they are truly the most amazing little miracles.  This last week I was able to meet Mr. Kaiden for the very first time and I just fell in love with him.  Words really cannot explain how adorable he is, so let me show you.

Ironman – He Can Fly

Today on the way to school, Henry told me he wanted to write a story.  Originally he wanted it to be about pirates, but within about three seconds he changed his mind to Ironman.  I told him we could write his story when we got home from school.  He told me all stories start with Once upon a time, so his story has to start with once upon a time.  I said, fine.  Sure enough when we got home from school, he asked me to get some paper so I could write down his story.  After writing the story, I told him to go grab his Ironman, because we needed pictures for his story.  Here is Henry’s story.
